Tuba Manifesto
Listen to several excerpts from the 2007 premiere performance by the commissioner, Tom McCaslin.

Something Missing in my Heart Tonight has Made My Eyes So Soft, my Voice So Tender
An electroacoustic work for violin. This piece takes its title from a poem by Hafiz, and deals with themes of solitude. The violinist on this recording is Carmelle Pretzlaw, who commissioned the work.

Newf is an electroacoustic work for trombone in four movements. It uses recorded speech as melodic source material. This performance is by the composer, from a 1999 recital.

These excerpts are from a 2006 performance at Open Space in Victoria, BC. The trumpeter is Amy Horvey, who commissioned the work for her 2006 recital tour.
